Offering Classes in Edwards
Our Classes... 6 - 12 children and their parent or caregiver meet for (8) 45-minute weekly in person classes to experience songs, rhythmic chants, movement, and instrument play. These activities are presented as fun, informal, non-performance-oriented musical experiences--developmentally appropriate for children and easy for parents and caregivers--regardless of their own musical ability. Children have many opportunities to create and play. A dozen experiences are included in each class, ranging from free-movement to songs in unusual tonalities and meters.
Music Together® MIXED AGE - Newborn through 5 years with adult(s)
The mixed age classes are the heart of Music Together®. Children birth through five years old along with parents and/or caregivers come together to create a musical community. Each child has the opportunity to be “where they are” in their own development. Adults, regardless of musical ability, can help create an environment that helps children achieve basic music competence. Children of mixed ages participate at their own level by singing, moving, chanting, listening and exploring with musical instruments. Parents participate with the children and receive music development information about their child.
